Tough future awaits Saudi Arabia

TEHRAN, May 13 (MNA) – Chairman of Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission warned Saudi Arabia of a tough future as a result of attack on Yemen.

At a meeting of political awareness in the presence of Army commanders and senior staff in the conference hall of Department of Information Technology, Chairman of Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said Saudi Arabia has committed a huge mistake by launching an attack against Yemen and would definitely suffer a tough future.

"During recent years, Saudi Arabia as a major player in the region has made great efforts to protect the American interests and objectives in the region," Boroujerdi said, pointing to Saudi attack on Yemen which is doomed both in terms of international regulations and Islamic law.

He said Saudi Arabia has definitely entered Yemen’s swamp by its push to expand the war by involving troops from other Arab countries.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Boroujerdi pointed to the nuclear talks going on between Iran and 5+1, saying that despite Western barriers against Iran’s nuclear program, the country could manage to achieve and localize nuclear knowledge through resistance, patience, perseverance and helpful guidelines of Leader Ayatollah Khamenei.
