The 12th meeting of the Iran-South Africa Joint Commission will be held in Tehran on May 9-11, 2015.
The joint commission remains one of the two countries’ longest-serving and most successful structured bilateral mechanisms and will cover a wide range of topics on politics, economy and trade.
Negotiations between expert delegations at the level of two political-social and economic-technical working groups will be launched on Saturday May 9 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
On the sidelines of the commission, a business forum comprising tens of businessmen from the private sector will take palce in the Chamber of Commerce in order to introduce the two countries’ capacities and capabilities.
The 11th joint commission between Iran and South Africa was held in November 2013 in the South African city of Pretoria.
South Africa and Iran enjoy cooperation in various fields, including arts and culture, agriculture, education and health, and the potential for the expansion thereof remains positive.
