Iran ready to transfer medical knowledge to Tajikistan

TEHRAN, Apr. 17 (MNA) – Iran's Ambassador to Tajikistan voiced Iran’s readiness to share experiences and transfer knowledge and expertise in the field of medicine and treatment to the Central Asian country.

During a meeting with the Chancellor of Ibn Sina Tajik State Medical University Dr. Qurbanov, Iran's Ambassador to Tajikistan Hojjatollah Faghani expressed his country's readiness to share experiences and transfer know-how in the field of medicine and treatment to Tajikistan, IRNA reported.

Iranian diplomat Faghani discussed ways of promoting mutual cooperation in the fields of medicine and treatment with Dr. Qurbanov on Thursday.

He pointed to the upcoming visit to Tajikistan by two Iranian medical delegations, saying that their trip was an opportunity for promoting collaboration in educational and medical fields.

“Iran is among forerunners in modern and traditional medicines,” Faghani highlighted.

Qurbanov, for his part, elaborated on the history of Ibn Sina Tajik State Medical University and its scientific status during Soviet Union and recent eras. He also outlined the university's scientific interaction with over 80 countries in the world.
