S. Khorasan proven ore deposits added by 100mn tons

BIRJAND, Jan. 13 (MNA) – Head of South Khorasan provincial industries, mine, and trade office has said another 100 million tons have been added to province’s proven reserves.

Seyed Mahdi Mousavi told reports on Tuesday that during the last 10 months, “41 mine exploration licenses have been issued in the province which shows 58 percent growth compared to that in the same time last year.

“The exploration licenses have added another 100 million tons to province’s PP reserves; the number of issued licenses shows a 13-per cent rise compared to that in the same time last year; a total of 385 licenses has been issued by the provincial industries, mine, and trade office,” Mousavi told reporters.

“Since March 21, 2014, 26 licenses have been issued; and we predict to issue yet 100 exploration certificates, 60 operation licenses, and 150 exploration licenses by the end of the year,” he added.

Industrial Affairs deputy of the South Khorasan provincial industries, mine, and trade office for his part announced issuing of 80 industrial center establishment permit with a total investment of $74mn and creation of 1,256 jobs during last 10 months. Abdolaziz Karimi added that in the same time period, “22 industrial operation certificates have been issued, which made $3m investment and created 201 jobs.”
