Iran accelerates arming West Bank

TEHRAN, Aug. 25 (MNA) – IRGC Aerospace Commander Gen. Hajizadeh says Iran will accelerate arming the West Bank; provides further details on downed Israeli drone.

Gen. Hajizadeh, IRGC Aerospace Commander, asserted that Iran will accelerate arming the West Bank and deems it its right to respond to this Zionist invasion in any appropriate way.

According to MNA, General Hajizadeh stated that “the Israeli drone which was shot down yesterday was an Israeli-made Hermes-type drone.”

“This drone operates within a radius of 800km and with one refueling, and is able to fly 1600km,” added he and that “due to the amount of fuel and the explosion of missile striking it, the drone caught fire and was destroyed.”

The general asserted: “Some pieces of the drone have survived the strike and we are currently analyzing them; the wingspan of the UAV is about 5.5 meters. The UAV has two cameras and is able to capture high resolution images.”

“There was no prior information on this kind of drone,” he continued, “only one was shot down in Syria, but this one was of a more advanced kind.”

“Our armed forces are fully trained in identification and tracking aggressors and are on alert, and should such actions repeat, the offenders will face a powerful response,” Hajizadeh asserted.

IRGC had released footage of captured drone earlier today.
