TEHRAN July 18 (MNA) —- Manager of the Research Institute for dates and tropical fruits, Hossein Pejman said here Sunday that date exports has reduced 13.9% in the first quarter of the current year as compared with the same amount last year.

Pejman told the Mehr News Agency that date exports have dropped 40% worldwide, which is significantly higher than the amount of reduction in Iran.

 

He stated that experts have still not found a good reason for this worldwide decrease.

 

The manager announced that Iran’s share of universal date exports is %30 adding that Iran has exported $4,258,000 dates during this period.
