Speaking at a meeting of the Bushehr Province Administrative Council, he noted that despite the enemy's attempts to strike a blow against the Islamic Republic, national security is being efficiently maintained through the efforts of unrecognized soldiers.
"As a consequence, the ground has been paved for sustainable development and progress in the country," he added.
Yunesi said that the operational policies of the Intelligence Ministry have been institutionalized and are not subject to change when officials are replaced.
"Its policies are in accordance with law and it is accountable to the people, high-ranking officials, and the Majlis.
He said that the Ministry of Intelligence takes pride in contributing to national development by providing domestic security.
He went on to say that the U.S. Middle East policy is a complete failure, adding that U.S. officials’ decisions on security matters in the Middle East are seriously flawed.
"This is due to their excessive pride in their military power, which has led to military approaches being given priority over political and security approaches.
"Thus, facing the failure of their policy, they resort to force and torture. The scandal that has arisen in Iraq as a result of the U.S. soldiers’ inhumane treatment of the Iraqi people is the best evidence of this," Yunesi said.
