TEHRAN, March 11 (MNA) – Although sanctions have created pressures on the lives of ordinary Iranians, but people of Iran based on their ancient tradition, have began shopping for the Persian New Year-Norooz- which is on the 21st of March.

Part of the ancient tradition is to prepare a ‘Seven Cs’ table, or design the New Year table with Seven specific items (green grass, coin, sumac, vinegar, garlic, germinating wheat dish, Elaeagnaceae plant fruit) that starts with ‘C’ in Persian language, Farsi. Each one of these is representative of the God blessing for human.

On the New Year table, Iranian also put a goldfish in a bowl and a mirror, which is a symbol of beauty and vitality. The pictures show that even the West sanctions against Iran could not stop people from a lot of joy and passion of shopping for the New Year.
