Dr. Mohammad Ebrahimi, the head of Space Research institute for Astronautical Systems, in response to a question from MNA reporter who asked about the future of “Aftab”, the first Iranian monkey astronaut, said: “we are currently in the process of designing a big cage for “Aftab”, the first Iranian monkey astronaut, so after a while when all the scientific data has been recorded for this project we can use it for the students to promote science and space technologies.”
He added: “we are looking for the public’s views of the first Iranian monkey astronaut, and also to provide information on sending living creatures to space to the visitors.

TEHRAN, March 10 (MNA) – According to official Iranian Space Agency, Iran is to make a cage for “Aftab” (Sunshine) the first Iranian monkey astronaut in the Zoo or Museum to promote science and space technology.
