Tazieh performances at Niavaran

TEHRAN, Nov. 17 (MNA) -- A group invited from Khansar, the central province of Isfahan, is giving performances of tazieh at Tehran’s Niavaran Cultural Center during the first ten days of the month of Muharram, which began on November 16 this year.

Tazieh is a form of ancient Iranian passion play, telling Shias’ epic tales particularly in memory of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS), the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad (S).
