Iran started World Deaf Futsal Championship with a defeat against Bulgaria on Friday in Orebro, Sweden.

The Asian powerhouse was defeated by Bulgaria 3-1 in Group B in the match held at the Mellringe Hall.

In the other match of the group, the Netherlands defeated Thailand 4-3.
 
A total of 16 men's teams and 11 women's teams are competing for the right to be called the best futsal nation in the world where all of the players are hearing-impaired.
