TEHRAN, May 25 (MNA) -- Veteran photographer Fakhreddin Fakhreddini, famous for black-and-white portrait photos of Iranian celebrities, will be displaying a collection of paintings at the Niavaran Cultural Center beginning on Thursday.

A collection of 52 paintings featuring the beautiful landscapes of Iran will go on exhibit for one week.

Fakhreddini, 74, began his career as a painter. He has kept a few of his paintings on his studio walls. He is famous for the photos taken during his 56-year career in photography.

“So far, I have held several exhibitions of my paintings in Iran and a few other countries. The last one was in Munich,” he said in a press release published on Wednesday.

“I chose Niavaran for I believe it is built just for exhibitions. The architecture is pleasing and it has attractive space. The artworks feature a variety in technique, color and design and I hope visitors will like the exhibit and the realistic paintings,” he said.
