TEHRAN, Jan. 11 (MNA) – On Monday, Iran’s Ambassador to Lebanon expressed Iran’s readiness to help bring an end to the siege of the Gaza Strip.

“The Iranian nation and government are completely ready to help break the siege of Gaza as they had a good participation in the most recent humanitarian aid convoy sent to Gaza,” Ghazanfar Roknabadi said in a meeting with Saleh Zeidan, a senior member of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine.

He again emphasized that supporting the oppressed Palestinian nation is the Islamic Republic of Iran’s principled stand.

The ambassador also highlighted the importance of the Palestinians’ national unity and resistance in the campaign against the Zionist regime.

“The Zionist regime only understands the language of force and in the current situation that the enemies of Islam are in a weak position, it is necessary that the Palestinians and the Islamic nations take united action to realize their sacred ideals,” he explained.

Saleh Zeidan thanked Iran for the full support it gives the Palestinian nation in their campaign against the Zionists.

He also elaborated on the problems facing the Palestinian people, saying, “Gaza and the West Bank are still under siege and occupation of the Zionist regime.”

Saleh Zeidan said despite the claims stating that the pressure on Palestinians is easing, the pressure is increasing day by day and the international community remains silent about the Zionists’ atrocities.

He added that the Zionist regime seeks to set the stage for waging another war by claiming that the Gaza Strip poses a threat to Israel, but Palestinian people will continue their resistance and will remain loyal to the ideal of a free Palestine.
