TEHRAN, Jan. 3 (MNA) -- Zinat Al-Bihar, the royal ship of Oman’s Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said, arrived in Iran’s southern waters and joined an Iranian Navy force in the Persian Gulf on Monday.

The royal ship, with a message of peace and friendship, will be staying in Iran’s waters for three days.

In a ceremony to welcome the arrival of the ship a senior Navy commander said the Iranian Navy has always made efforts to guard maritime borders and promote the culture of security in the region.

The two sides also described Iran as the most secure country in the region.

The royal ship, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of Omani independence, left Muscat for Doha and after its three-day stay in Iran, it will continue its journey to Pakistan.
