"Local handmade items of Jiroft (Kerman Province) decorated with Chinese patterns prove cultural and commercial relations between the city and China during the 3rd-6th century A.H.," said head of archaeological research group in the region.
Hamideh Choubak added that the precious discovered items indicate wealthy life of the people in the region working as importers and exporters throughout the country.
"A huge bathhouse, pottery workshop, as well as an array of precious earthenware discovered in recent excavations in Jiroft unequivocally date back to the 6th century A.H.," concluded Choubak.
