A caravan of Iranian artists is scheduled to attend the program and participate in different categories, cultural deputy director of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) Mohsen Pak-Aiin told the Persian service of ISNA on Tuesday.
Iranian artists will be displaying a variety of their artworks in miniature, intarsia, illumination, and etching, as well as classic and modern paintings.
Screening films with Arabic subtitles is also arranged for the week. They include “Heiran” by director Shalizeh Arefpur, “Canaan” by Mani Haqiqi, “So Close, So Far” by Reza Mirkarimi, and “The Postman Doesn’t Knock on the Door Three Times” by Hassan Fat’hi
.
Exhibits of traditional costumes and a book fair are also set up during the event.
A regional band from Bushehr Province is invited to give live music performances, while an Isfahani artist will be setting up a traditional Iranian teahouse, and theater troupe from Shiraz will be staging a play in Arabic.
Pak-Aiin also said that the Tehran Symphony Orchestra is scheduled to give its first performance under guest conductor Nader Mortezapur on opening day.
According to conductor Mortezapur, the orchestra will be playing part of the music from the film “Mohammad (S): Messenger of God” by composer Maurice-Alexis Jarre.
