Kazeminejad in over-85kg class won the gold at the Toa Payoh Sports Hall.
He lifted 155 kg in snatch and 196 kg in clean and jerk. Kazeminejad seized the gold with a total of 351 kg.
Gor Minasian from Armenia came second with 350 kg and Egyptian Hassan Mohamed won the bronze medal with 330 kg.
International Olympic Committee President Jacques Rogge attended this competition at the Toa Payoh Sports Hall.
“I was here to win the gold. From now, I will train for the London 2012 Olympic Games,” Kazeminejad said.
Iran’s taekwondo athlete Kaveh Rezaei had already won a gold medal in YOG.
The 2010 Youth Olympic Games has brought together 3,600 athletes ages 14 to 18 from 204 countries competing in 26 sports.
