TEHRAN, July 20 (MNA) – A suicide bomber struck a bus with Iranian passengers aboard in the Iraqi Province of Diyala on Tuesday in which at least 5 Iranian nationals were killed and 5 others injured.

The suicide bomber detonated an explosives-laden car as the Iranian pilgrims were leaving their bus for a restaurant, Iraqi sources reported.

Two Iraqis were also reported to have been killed in the terrorist attack.

The security forces immediately cordoned off the area as ambulances rushed to whisk the injured to the nearby hospitals.

Earlier in the day, a separate suicide explosion left at least three people dead, including a child, and dozens more wounded in a town in Diyala province in eastern Iraq, provincial police sources said.
