TEHRAN, May 4 (MNA) – Ayatollah Mohammad-Reza Mahdavikani, the Combatant Clergy Association secretary general, has said the administration should not engage in all economic activities.

“I had said 28 years ago that all economic activities should not be in the hands of administration because governments by nature do not run businesses proficiently,” he said.

The administration should devolve the economic activities like importation to the private sector, he opined.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Mahdavikani also pointed out that the experienced people should not be replaced by the newcomers.
