TEHRAN, Nov. 13 (MNA) -- Iran will travel to Japan on Saturday to take part in the 2009 FIVB Men’s World Grand Champions Cup.

Teams from Japan, Iran, Poland, Egypt, Brazil and Cuba will participate in the tournament. The competition formula of the 2009 Men’s World Grand Champions Cup is the single Round-Robin system. Each team plays once against each of the 5 remaining teams. Points are accumulated during the whole tournament and the final standing is determined by the total points gained.
 
Iran, which participates in the event as the 2009 Asian runner-up, is scheduled to play Egypt on November 18.
 
The 2009 Men’s World Grand Champions Cup will be held in Osaka and Nagoya, Japan, from November 18 to November 23, 2009.
 
The World Grand Champions Cup is a men’s and women’s volleyball competition. Created in 1993, it is an international tournament that is played the year after the Olympic Games.
