TEHRAN, Nov. 1 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki has met with Bahraini Foreign Minister and Premier Hamed Ibn Jasem Ibn Jaber ath-Thani, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said in a press release.

In a meeting in Doha on Saturday, the two officials discussed regional cooperation and ways to promote economic relations.

 

Mottaki said the implementation of agreements in oil, gas, transport sectors and joint investments could benefit both nations and the whole region.

 

For his part, the Bahraini official said there is no limitation in expanding ties with Iran, describing Tehran-Doha relations as ever-lasting and highly important.

 

It is essential that both sides make efforts to even out the economic and political ties, he added.

 

He also said Doha is determined to implement the agreements signed between the two countries.

 

The two officials also agreed to hold the next meeting of Iran-Bahrain Joint Economic Committee in Doha by the end of the Iranian-calendar year which ends on March 20.
