The project was conducted in 245 days with a cost of over $49 million, the report added.
Ali Abbasi Loraki, the project manager said the second drilling is projected to start in the near future.
The sampling and other scientific tests will be implemented within the next two months, the official added.
He went on to say that the budget allocated for the project should be increased in order to extend the development operations.
Kish gas field is located near the Kish Island in the Persian Gulf. It was discovered in 2006, holding approximately 59 trillion cubic feet (tcf) of in-situ gas reserve, of which 45 tcf is recoverable. The field also holds 946 million barrels of condensate, of which 331 million barrels are recoverable.
The field is believed to be capable of producing four billion cubic feet of gas per day.
