TEHRAN, Sept. 11 (MNA) – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad stated that the enemies have targeted the Iranian nation’s “unity”.

“The enemies … have targeted the Iranian nation’s glory, unity, and its insistence on the cause of the Islamic Revolution,” he said at a graduation ceremony of over 1000 military academy students here on Thursday.

“Today, they have targeted two invaluable elements of the Iranian nation: First, the national willpower, the unique unity, and the historical presence of the nation in determining its fate... The second element that the enemies have targeted is the lasting and unrivaled security,” he added.

The president pointed out that the Iranian nation is determined in its way and the plots of the enemies are to no avail.

Ahmadinejad praised the nation’s massive turnout in the recent presidential polls, saying the election signified was one of the best forms of democracy.

Once again, the nation’s participation in the election foiled the enemies’ plots.

“They are angry. The greater and more efficient the Iranian nation’s decisions are, the angrier the enemies will become.”

He criticized the interfering remarks of certain countries about the results of the presidential election and stated that the enemies imagined that by such propaganda they can tarnish the unity of the nation and undermine its massive turnout.

The Islamic Republic of Iran advises its enemies to learn from their “disgraceful experiences” and stop interfering in Iran’s internal affairs, the president said, adding they are no body to undermine the achievements of the nation.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Ahmadinejad praised the police for serving the nation and said the police and other security forces are from among the people and endeavor to keep peace and security in the society.
