The theme of this edition, which will run until September 14, is “The Development of Quran Concepts and Services”.
Several Iranian officials and scholars of the Quran, including Iranian MPs Gholam-Ali Haddad Adel and Laleh Eftekhari, attended the ceremony.
During the event ten veteran masters of recitation of the Quran and several scholars will be honored for their life time achievements.
The life and works of Quran scholars Mohammad Mehdi Fuladvand, Tahereh Saffarzadeh and Mehdi Azar Yazdi are being showcased in the exhibit.
Over 40 stands have been set up providing religious consultation on different issues including family, youth and concepts in the Quran, the exhibit’s director Mohammad-Ali Khajehpiri mentioned.
He went on to say that 150 seminars on various subjects pertaining to the Quran will be held for scholars and experts during the event.

Over 15,000 books from Iran and other countries are on display including many valuable research books on matters concerning the Quran.
Almost all Iranian universities are taking part in the academic aspects of the exhibit and 60 software companies are being represented.
