TEHRAN, June 26 (MNA) -- Tehran will host an international conference entitled “Cultural Iran and Globalization: An Outlook for the Future” on January 17 and 18, 2010.

Iran’s National Studies Institute will hold the event, which is the second edition of the international conference on cultural Iran.

 

The previous edition was named “Cultural Iran: Past, Present and Future” was held in January 2009 in Tehran.

 

The conference will focus on different issues including culture and identity, the common cultural and artistic heritage, religion, politics, Persian language and also related themes.

 

The secretariat of the conference is calling for papers which are on the themes of Iran’s capacities for globalization, media and Iranian identity, the role of Iranian on globalization of Islam. The abstract of the papers should be submitted to the secretariat of the gala by August 6.

 

The event is cosponsored by the Center for Social Studies and Research of the University of Tehran, the Imam Sadiq University, the Center for Persian Language and Literature Research of Tarbiat Modares University and the Institute for Social and Cultural Studies.

 

The non-governmental and non-beneficial National Studies Institute is an Iranian center which conducts research on national identity, national unity and social solidarity that was established in 1997.
