TEHRAN Dec. 6 (Mehr News Agency) –- Four Iranian films are participating in the eighth International Film Festival of Kerala on December 12.

The film “Wind Game” by Iranian director Alireza Ghani (Iran-Austria co-production) is to be screened at the Competition Section of the festival.  “Crimson Gold” (Ja’far Panahi), “Songs of My Motherland” (Bahman Qobadi) and “Gagouman” (Mohammad Rassoulof) are the other three Iranian entries at the festival.

 

“Silent Waters” by Sabiha Sumar (Pakistan-French-German co-production), “The Last Train” by Diego Arsuaga (Uruguay-Argentina-Spain co-production), “A Land Without Women” by Manish Joha from India and “Osama” by Sediq Barmak (Afghanistan-Japan-Ireland co-production) are among the entries at the competition section of the festival.

 

At the non-competition section of the festival, “Distant” (Nuri Bilge), “Dolls” (Takaeshi Kitano), “Hollywood Ending” (Woody Allen), and “The Man Without a Past” (Aki Kaurismaki) are among the films to go on screen during the week-long event.
