TEHRAN Dec. 5 (Mehr News Agency) -- The great fair for Iranian books and cultural products is to be held in Kabul, capital city of Afghanistan from December 21-30, 2003.

Speaking with Afghan Minister of Information and Culture Sayyed Makhdoom Raheen, Iranian Cultural Attaché in Afghanistan Dr. Muhammad-Kazim Kahduei said on Tuesday that following the exhibition, the Iranian attaché aims to establish a research center and hold literary and scientific gatherings in Kabul.   

 

He also expressed hope that the first gathering in commemoration of Hakim Sanai Ghaznavi would be held in Afghanistan in the next Iranian calendar year of 1383 (starting March 20, 2004) by the Islamic Republic of Iran.

 

Afghan minister of culture and information also welcomed the cultural plans of the Islamic Republic attaché in Afghanistan and criticized the Iranian university teachers and scholars for not taking part in the commemoration ceremony of Naser Khosrow Qobadiyani Balkhi already held in Kabul.
