TEHRAN, Apr. 26 (MNA) -- The members of a terrorist group suspected of plotting terrorist attacks in Tehran have been arrested, Intelligence Minister Gholam-Hossein Mohseni Ejei announced on Sunday.

The Intelligence Ministry’s Counter-Terrorism Unit identified the terrorists, who were working for the Zionist regime, while they were conspiring to carry out a bombing campaign across Tehran, Mohseni Ejei said in an interview.

The security forces have uncovered evidence showing that the Zionist regime is seeking to establish connections with counter-revolutionary groups as part of a plot to spark riots and create insecurity in the run-up to Iran’s presidential election, which will be held on June 12, he added.
