TEHRAN, March 9 (MNA) -- Persepolis football coach Nelo Vingada said on Monday that they are determined to qualify for the next stage of the Asian Champions league (ACL).

Persepolis is scheduled to play Al-Sharjah at the Azadi Stadium on Tuesday in the ACL group stage.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Vingada said, “First of all, I ask Persepolis’ fans to attend the important match against Al-Sharjah. We need their support in the vital game. I cannot foresee the result but we will try to show our best performance in front of the fans.”

All of Persepolis’ matches are difficult in the Asian Champions League, the Portuguese added.

“We respect all rivals especially Al-Sharjah which is one of the best UAE teams. Persepolis is determined to advance to the next stage so we have to beat them in the home game.” Vingada concluded.

Iran is in Group B along with Al-Sharjah of the UAE, Qatar’s Al-Garrafa and Al-Shabab of Saudia Arabia.
