Iran’s Institute for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA) dispatched art expert Rasul Farqedani and two children’s art instructors Mojgan Khalilpur and Parvin Basirpur to Denmark to introduce Danish children to Persian art.
The art instructors held several workshops for Danish children, covering painting, making post cards, collage, visual creativity, puppet making and pottery.
During the festival, they also introduced Danish children to the technique of hand printing fabrics known as Qalamkari, an art form that originated in Isfahan.
Some 140 books published by IIDCYA, 50 paintings by Iranian children and 26 photos taken by Iranian adolescents were displayed during an exhibition on the sidelines of the festival.
IIDCYA also screened selected films for children during the event.
The festival was organized by the Iranian Embassy in Denmark and the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization.
