TEHRAN, Jan. 24 (MNA) -- Iranian illustrations have found their way into the 2008 Bologna Children’s Book Fair catalogue.

Works by 13 Iranian illustrators are published in the official catalogue of the Illustrators Exhibition being held in two fiction and non-fiction sections.

 

A total of 73 works by illustrators from 20 countries including Japan, Iran, Italy, Germany, Spain, Britain, France, Estonia and Lebanon, were selected for the fiction section and nine found their way into the non-fiction section.

 

Sahar Bardaii, illustrator of the book “Hod Hod” (hoopoe) by writer Farideh Khalatbari, Fereshteh Najafi “Princess” (Khalatbari), Morteza Zahedi “Multiplication Chart” (Khalatbari), Farshid Shafiei “Iron Shoes” (Khalatbari), and Amir Shabanipur “The Sun Guardian” (Laleh Jafari) are among the Iranian illustrators. All the books are published by Shabaviz Publications.

 

Rashin Kheirieh, Samira Zamani, Zahra Sarmashqi, Nushin Safakhu, Monireh Mansuri, and Alireza Golduzian are the other Iranian illustrators.

 

In addition, Sirus Aqakhani and Narges Mohammadi are among the selected 2008 illustrators.
