The festival begins on Oct.29, takes place on the 30th in the city of Isfahan and ends on Oct.31 at the Bahadoran Garden in a suburban region near the Zayandehrud River, he told MNA.
He added that 15 artists from Mazandaran, Lorestan, Khuzestan, Hormozgan, Sistan-Baluchistan and Khorasan Razavi along with several other artists from Isfahan are to participate in the event.
“The gala is organized by the Isfahan Painters Association and the artists are taking part at their own expense. The artists will be visiting the historical sites of Isfahan on the first day and will create their artwork the next day,” he explained.
“The techniques they are using will be the silk-screen process. At the Bahadoran Garden, they will be free to present any type of land artwork on the last day,” he remarked.
Nadalian also stated that this program was organized soon after the Polur summer festival and there was not much time to invite foreign artists, “But in the Hormozgan land art festival, several foreign artists have been invited,” he concluded.
Modern Iranian land art is associated with Nadalian, who usually leaves his artistic creations in their natural habitats, ranging from trees to high cliffs, and from deserts to riverbeds.
His works have spread from Iran to Japan, China, Italy, France, the U.S., and several other countries.
Nadalian’s land art often takes the form of sculpting natural motifs on stone before sinking them into rivers.
