TEHRAN, Oct. 14 (MNA) -- Iranian sculptor Hamid Shans, who is making a collection of statues of world luminaries, is now completing the Avicenna statue.

The 4-meter high statue is a bronze casting and it will be completed within one month, Shans told MNA on Tuesday.

Shans will decide whether to erect the statue besides the Abu Rayhan Biruni sculpture in Laleh Park or in front of Avicenna Hall at the University of Tehran.

Previously, he has made sculptures of Nima Yushij (Mellat Park), Amir Kabir (Nasser Khosro Street) and Simón Bolívar (Goft-o-Gu Park) previously.
