His appointment was announced by Ghafour Karegari, the President of Iran’s NPC, Tehran Times reported.
Samimi replaces Kamal Javanmard in this position.
Previously, Samimi served as the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Sports Federation for the Disabled.
