TEHRAN, Feb. 26 (MNA) – The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) here Monday voiced its preparedness to cooperate with Statistical Center of Iran (SCI).

 

The Tehran-based UNFPA representative Mohamed Abdel-Ahad appreciated the SCI for helping perform the joint project with Afghanistan on training Afghan statistics experts, according to Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA).

 

Underlining the South-South project success, he proposed the SCI Head Mohammad Madad to establish a unit in his center holding the same name.

 

The center and fund inked the 2007 memorandum of understanding (MOU) entitled “Population and Development Strategies” in a bid to keep implementing their five-year joint venture.
