Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi made a phone call to Ali Bagheri Kani, the interim Iranian foreign minister to offer condolences over the deaths (martyrdom) of President Ebrahim Raeisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on Tueasay.
The top Omani diplomat pointed out that Omani authorities were deeply saddened by the Iran's tragic accident and emphasized the solidarity of the government and people of Oman with the government and people of Iran.
Ali Bagheri Kani, for his part, expressed gratitude for the message of condolence and sympathy of the Sultan of Oman and other officials of the country, and noted that the martyred Iranian politicians took serious steps in the development of bilateral relations with Oman over the past three years.
The acting Iranian foreign minister added that, Raeisi and Amir-Abdollahian laid the basis for the development of the region in cooperation with Omani brothers.
Qatar’s Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani extended his condolences to Iran in a phone call with acting Foreign Minister of Iran Ali Bagheri Kani following the death of President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.
Qatar’s PM stressed the solidarity of the Qatari people with the Iranian nation in this “great loss”.
For his part, Bagheri Kani emphasised the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between the two states.
