TEHRAN, May 21 (MNA) – The German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Tuesday offered condolences to Iran over the death(martyrdom) of President Ebrahim Raeisi and his entourage in a helicopter crash.

"Our condolences go to the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the families of those killed in the crash," Scholz said in a message addressed to Iran's the acting head of the executive authority, Mohammad Mokhber, AFP reported.

President Raeisi and his foreign minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and seven others were martyred when their helicopter went down in fog in remote area of northwestern Iran on Sunday.
