TEHRAN, Apr. 20 (MNA) – Referring to president Raeisi's upcoming visit to Islamabad, Pakistan's Minister of Interior said that this visit will be a turning point in the fraternal relations between Tehran and Islamabad.

Iran's Ambassador to Islamabad Reza Amiri Moghaddam met and held talks with Interior Minister of Pakistan Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi.

Expressing his satisfaction with the upcoming visit of the President of Iran Seyed Ebrahim Raeisi to Pakistan, the Pakistani Minister announced that all necessary measures have been taken to warmly welcome Ayatollah Raeisi as Pakistani officials are determined to make this important visit a success.

The parties exchanged views about the latest developments related to bilateral relations, strengthening security cooperation, facilitating commercial activities at the common borders, smoothing commercial transport at the borders, expanding the interaction between the customs of the two countries, dealing with consular and legal issues, and speeding up the process of implementing agreements between Iran and Pakistan.

The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to comprehensively expand cooperation with the Pakistani side in all law enforcement areas, including the fight against drug trafficking, preventing the movement of illegal nationals, dealing with organized crime, and intelligence interactions.
