TEHRAN, Apr. 07 (MNA) – In a meeting with the college students and student activists, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution called for paying more attention to justice-centered economy and equal opportunities for everyone.

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei received a group of students on Sunday as part of Ramadan meetings with different classes and social groups of the society.

The Leader hailed President Ebrahim Raeisi's administration for its great efforts to advance the country's affairs and making progress.

He called on the students to look up to the Iranian Islamic government for its great achievements while also keeping in place their criticism of the government's economic records.

Ayatollah Khamenei went on to call on the government to pay more serious attention to the issue of justice in policymaking.

The Leader further said justice means focusing on equal economic opportunities for everyone and diminishing the economic gap between different classes in society.

He pointed to the fascinating achievements the country has made since the 1979 Islamic Revolution. Before the Islamic Revolution, the Leader said, Iran was not an advanced country from a scientific and technological standpoint despite having excellent university professors in various fields.

"It was a thought that Iranians cannot access high and precise technologies. There was a belief that Iranians cannot reach high scientific positions, cannot access the forefront of science," he added.

At the beginning of the meeting, a number of student associations' representatives expressed their views and leveled some criticism against President Raeisi's government economic policies.
