TEHRAN, Mar. 25 (MNA) – The Iranian ambassador to Tajikistan signed a book of condolence for the recent terrorist incident in Moscow.

Alireza Haghigian, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Tajikistan went to the Embassy of the Russian Federation in that Central Asian country on Monday and signed a book of condolence for the recent terrorist incident in Moscow.

In his message, the ambassador condemned the recent terrorist act in the city of Moscow, expressing his sympathy with the families of the victims and voicing his condolences to the government and the people of Russia over the tragic incident.

On 22 March 2024, a coordinated attack occurred at the Crocus City Hall music venue in Krasnogorsk, Russia, on the western edge of Moscow, killing at least 137 and injuring more than 182 concertgoers.

Russian president Vladimir Putin called the attack a "barbaric terrorist act" and said that the gunmen had been arrested. Investigators detained 11 people in relation to the attack, including four suspects, who were charged with terrorism on 24 March.
