TEHRAN, Mar. 16 (MNA) – The Palestinian death toll in the Gaza Strip from ongoing Israeli attacks has risen to 31,490, the Hamas-run Health Ministry said in a press statement.

According to the statement on Friday, the Israeli military killed 149 Palestinians and wounded 300 others during the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 31,490 and injuries to 73,439 since the Israel war on Gaza broke out on Oct. 7, 2023.

The statement noted that some victims remained under the rubble amid heavy bombardment and a lack of civil defense and ambulance crews.

Israel waged its brutal war on besieged Gaza on October 7 after Hamas carried out an unprecedented operation against the occupying entity in retaliation for its intensified atrocities against the Palestinian people.

Israel has imposed a complete siege on the densely populated territory, cutting off fuel, electricity, food, and water to the more than two million Palestinians living there.
