Winners of Kish festival announced

TEHRAN, Dec. 9 (MNA) -- Filmmakers returned home after the winners received the Golden Dolphins of the 7th Kish International Documentary Film Festival on Thursday.

 

The Golden Dolphin for Best Film was awarded to director Ali Kalantari for “The Golden Dances”.

 

Masud Amini Tirani (“Firuzabad”) and Abdolrahman Milani (“The Carpet of Wood”) won Golden Dolphins for the second and third best films at the gala.

 

The festival jury also gave the Best Screenplay Award to Masud Amini Tirani for “Firuzabad” and Hamed Pursaei won the Best Music Award for his soundtrack for “The Day of Creation”.

 

Mehdi Asadi (“The Golden Dances”) and Ensieh Saedi (“Firuzabad”) shared the Best Edit Award, while Hossein Safi (“Iranian Snakes”) and Alireza Fakhrizadeh (“The Golden Dances”) shared the Best Cameraman Award.

 

Alain Jalladeau, the founder and director of the Nantes Three Continents Festival, as well as several other directors of international festivals attended the four-day festival on the Persian Gulf island.
