TEHRAN, Feb. 12 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister said that extending the Israeli occupation regime's war crimes and genocide to the Palestinian refugees in Rafah will come with grave consequences.

Following the attacks of the Zionist regime on Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip, which resulted in the martyrdom of more than 100 people, Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, who is in Qatar as the third leg of his trip to the region, said on Monday that "The extension of the war crimes and genocide of the occupying Israeli regime to the Palestinian refugees in Rafah will have grave consequences for Tel Aviv."

This is the first attack of the Israeli regime on Rafah after the repeated threats of several weeks by the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime Benjamin Netanyahu to . attack the over-crowded city.

Rafah city currently is home to about 1.4 million people (half of the 2.2 million population of the Gaza Strip).

The spokesman of the Israeli army announced today that in the joint operation of the army, the Shabak and the special police in Rafah, two Israeli prisoners held by Hamas were freed, in an operation that killed 67 Palestinians.
