Repeated US strikes against armed groups in Iraq are pushing the government to end the mission of the US-led coalition in the country, the prime minister's military spokesman Yahya Rasool said on Thursday.
Rasool said in a statement that the US-led coalition "has become a factor for instability and threatens to entangle Iraq in the cycle of conflict."
According to media reports, a car in eastern Baghdad was targeted by a US drone attack that left three occupants dead, potentially two senior members of the Islamic Resistance.
Witnesses said identification cards found near the charred vehicle identified them as Arkan al-Elayawi and Abu Bakir al-Saadi but their assassinations have not been officially confirmed.
