TEHRAN, Feb. 01 (MNA) – People in the city of Gorgan, the capital of Golestan Province in northern Iran held symbolic rallies and parade to celebrate late Imam Khomeini's return from exile to the country on February 1, 1979.

Late founder of the Islamic Revoltion of Iran Imam Khomeini returned to Iran from 15-year exile and was welcomed by a joyous crowd estimated by Western media to be of up to five million people in Tehran.
