TEHRAN, Jan. 24 (MNA) – Iran’s first vice president stated that the President Raeisi government's strategy is to develop relations in various political, economic, and cultural field with African countries.

In a press conference with the Prime Minister of Niger Ali Mahamane Lamine Zeine, Mohammad Mokhbar stated that the government's strategy is to develop relations in political, economic, and cultural fields with African countries, congratulating the success of the Muslim and brotherly people of Niger in forming an independent government.

He added that Irans's government has followed the Niger developments, saying that the people of this country will succeed against the enemies' plots.

The domineering system always imposes its cruel sanctions against countries for their independence, he said and Iran while condemning these sanctions is ready to provide its experiences in this field to friendly and brotherly countries.

Expressing his satisfaction with the preparations for the reopening of the Iran Embassy in Tehran, Mokhber noted that this will help the growing process of the countries' relations.

He continued that the two countries held two meetings of the joint commission in Tehran so far, and the Iranian government insists on immediate preparations for holding the next meetings to activate comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

Mokhbar went on to say that transferring technical and engineering services, especially in the field of energy, significant economic opportunities for the development of infrastructural cooperation, and the establishment of a barter mechanism to facilitate economic relations between the two countries including MOUs and agreements are the result of Niger Prime Minister visit to Iran. 

The vice president considered solving the banking and transportation issues, especially the aviation field, as one of the most important platforms for the development of private-sector cooperation between the two countries, saying that Iranian knowledge-based companies are one of Iran's advantages that can widely provide their capacities to friendly countries in Africa, including Niger.

Condemning the Zionist regime's crimes against the Palestinian people in Gaza and the killing of thousands of innocent women and children, the first vice president of Iran hoped for Gazan's peace with the eradication of the Zionist regime.

Ali Mahamane Lamine Zeine, for his part, said that the memorandums signed during this trip should be converted into contracts between the two countries immediately, appreciating Iran for making the preparations for this trip and facilitating and expanding the relations between the two sides.

He said that Iran and the Republic of Niger should move forward to advance their goals and develop relations which certainly holding cooperation commissions can help this goal.

In this meeting, with the aim of further developing Tehran-Niamey relations, the relevant high officials signed 2 documents of cooperation in the presence of the Iran Vice President and the Prime Minister of Niger.

The comprehensive economic and political cooperation document between Iran's Minister of Cooperatives Labour and Social Welfare and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Niger, as well as MOUs (memorandum of understanding) on health cooperation between the Ministry of Health and Medical Education of Iran and the Ministry of Public Health, Population, and Social Affairs of Niger, were signed.
