TEHRAN, Jan. 09 (MNA) – Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian stated that the main reason for Zionist's hatred towards journalists is that they are extremely afraid of the world's awareness and judgment.

In a post on X social media platform on Monday night, Amir-Abdollahian stated that 111 journalists and cameramen were martyred in Gaza after more than three months of the cruel war, adding that the death toll is an unprecedented number in history.

He stressed that the main reason for Zionist's hatred towards journalists is that they are extremely afraid of the world's awareness and judgment.

The top Iranian diplomat also offered condolences to Wael Al-Dahdouh, the Palestinian journalist.

Mustafa Thuria, a video stringer for AFP, and Hamza Wael Dahdouh, a journalist with Al Jazeera, were killed early Sunday while they were traveling in a car.

As many as 111 journalists have been killed in Gaza by the Zionist Israeli regime so far.

Their deaths have made it difficult to obtain information about the scale and destructiveness of the fighting, a problem worsened by degraded communications networks and the lack of permission from Israel and Egypt for foreign journalists to enter Gaza.
