Brigadier General Mohammad-Reza Ashtiani, the Islamic Republic of Iran's Minister of Defense reacted to the Western states' statements in which they said that they will impose new sanctions against Iran even after the official end of arms embargo, saying that "We have made great progress in the field of weapons and all these progress took place when the country was under sanctions. Now that there is more room [after the arms embargo], Iran will definitely add to this progress."
"The Islamic Republic of Iran will definitely achieve more success in various fields in the defense industry, such as exports, communication and interactions with other countries on military issues, and the statements from these countries are just empty and worthless words," Ashtiani also said.
Saying that the Islamic Republic of Iran fully monitors the entire region, "The fact that the Americans falsely link everything that happens [in this region] to us is because they know that the Islamic Republic of Iran has the upper hand and that it is the first power in the region."
