The volume of the goods and products exported from Iran to Iraq in the first seven months of the year amounted to 1,439,000 tons however, the figure is indicating about 26 percent decrease compared with the corresponding period last year.
In the corresponding period the year before, Iran exported about 1,951,000 tons of products valued at around $583,467,000 to its neighboring nation, the Persian service of ILNA on Monday quoted a statement released by Iran’s Customs Administration as saying.
Mineral water, soft drinks, various detergents and washing powders, biscuits, Swamp coolers and other home appliances as well as farm products such as pistachios, fresh or dried tomatoes and fruits, in particular apples, accounted for 28 percent of Iran’s major items of export to its neighbor to the west.
Iraq was the third importer of Iranian goods during the past seven months however, the UAE and China were respectively the first and second purchasers of Iranian products and merchandises.
