At least 5,087 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7 with another 15,273 wounded, according to the Palestinian health ministry in the besieged enclave.
Al Jazeera quoted the ministry as saying that at least 436 people, including 182 children, were killed in the past 24 hours.
On October 9, Israel launched retaliatory strikes and ordered a complete blockade of the Gaza Strip, home to more than 2 million people, cutting off supplies of water, food, and fuel. The blockade was later eased to allow trucks with humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.
